Dr. Aman Goyal is a passionate and driven medical professional who graduated with an MBBS from Adesh University, Bathinda, Punjab, India, in 2024. He is the Founder of the Magister Chirurgiae, a prominent surgical association, and currently serves as the Chair of the Medical Student Committee at TROGSS (The Robotic Global Surgical Society) and Co-Director of Robotic Time Zone. Throughout his undergraduate years, Dr. Goyal gained invaluable experience within the Department of Surgery, where he excelled as both a surgical and research assistant. This experience solidified his aspiration to pursue a career in surgery and laid the groundwork for his entry into surgical research. In addition to his clinical involvement, Dr. Goyal served as the Editor for the Journal of Asian Medical Student Association (JAMSA) during the 2022-2023 term. His profound interest in medical literature and research has driven him to engage actively as a peer reviewer for esteemed surgical journals, including the Journal of Robotic Surgery, International Journal of Surgery (IJS), Annals of Medicine and Surgery, and International Journal of Surgery Open (IJSO). Dr. Goyal’s research endeavors predominantly focus on surgical sciences, with a pronounced emphasis on surgical gastroenterology and oncology. He has made significant contributions to various research projects in General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Robotic Surgery, and Surgical Oncology, resulting in the successful publication of over 11 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. His ultimate aspiration is to evolve into a distinguished surgeon-scientist in the specialized field of surgical gastroenterology and oncology.
